Do not print out a selfie. Please, for the love of god, do not print out a selfie.
If you can't get a professionally done headshot, at least have a friend/relative take a nice looking picture of you and get it printed on real photo paper. There are many places that will print it for you, or you can buy photo paper and print it yourself. Make sure it's 8x10.
The Beyoncé song is fine, but please do not refer to her as "Queen Bey" when you audition. It'll seem unprofessional.

I have never auditioned but I thought your advice is common sense . And I have no common sense. I would look up youtube clips to see what they do for an audition and what song they sung.

Apparently ppl were right in telling me theater kids are uptight.
Hey guys -- whether this person is for real or not, there may be people reading the thread who are. What's the harm in providing info (if you desire)? You lose nothing and maybe someone gains something. If you don't want to, move along -- why the need to be "funny" or snarky or just plain mean?
A simple redirection to the student board also may be a good idea.

These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Okay. So I don't know if this is a joke. But if not.
1.) I suggest getting a professional head shot done. Or getting a friend/family member with a nice camera to take a few of you.
2.) you should try to sing something that might show talent. Look up "A Christmas Lullaby" on YouTube. You could sing a song from Hairspray The Musical. Or even The Wizard and I or Defying Gravity from Wicked. On My Own from Les Mis. Etc.
remember. Your in New York. You can be Musical Theatrey with this group of people.
