Im a subscriber, so I'm looking forward to a few shows:
Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet, Nice Fish, & 1984 are the shows I've already got tix for.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Holy crap, if I didn't already know that "Kansas City Choir Boy" originated elsewhere, I would've sworn it was just another A.R.T. con job at the former Zero Arrow Theater. I subscribed to A.R.T. this season because I thought this show was going to sell out like it did in New York. Of course there are plenty of seats available. I will never understand the positive notice it garnered from the Times. I mean, let me say right out that it's better than anything I could do, but that is one very low bar. It's a half-baked idea with occasional bursts of emotion that are completely unearned, repetitive lyrics that I guess are supposed to gain gravitas in the repetition and of course an aesthetic straight out of that downtown show from SMASH season two. Its 50 minute running time felt much longer. People seemed to enjoy it. I couldn't even muster up the enthusiasm to clap at the end.
For those of us in the Boston area, we can save one trip.
