Why is the gospel ensemble not listed in the Playbill or on the Roundabout's site?

Cuz they're not actually in the show. :) It's normally a smaller number with just the (small) ensemble; at City Center they had a huge local gospel choir, but not the Bway prod. Not sure who all was backing them up tonight.

Isn't that false advertising? People are gonna be so disappointed if they go see the show because of the Tony performance.

Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia

Raise Me Up is the big gospel number in the show.

No they won't be disappointed. It's still a great gospel number - with just fewer people because the stage at the Roundabout is so small, they couldn't fit any more people..and maybe the Tonys felt they would have been swallowed up on the huge Radio City.

But it's still a powerful number and got a huge ovation the night that I saw it. All the regular cast was towards the front of the number. I also think it's cool that Emma Howard, who is the Young Violet's understudy and does not have a "part" in the show... regularly is a part of this number.
