With the Enores! One Night presentation with Sutton Foster raising interest, can we hope for an actual revival? I just saw Sutton's show, and for the closing of Act I she sang and excellent version of "On My Way". Now I just can't help hoping she gets to play the role on Broadway.

Lauren Ward was the original Violet off-Broadway and was nominated for a Drama Desk for it.

Would love a revival but it seems like too small and quirky of a show for Broadway.

Violet is one of my favorite musicals of all time. It has a brilliant book and beautiful score. It's a shame so few people have had the opportunity to see it, although productions do occasionally pop up at regional theatres. I think the subject matter is unfortunately too tough to sustain a full Broadway staging, although if Sutton Foster were willing to star in it...

I haven't been to the city for a few years, but this would be a good impetus for me to come back. I was the Assistant Director/Dramaturg for the show when I was in college. The score is gorgeous!

If there is a revival, Sutton wont be involved because she is going on tour. (My friend was in the Encores production).

Man, I would love a revival of this. And a new recording would be a dream come true.
