Love the Boston Pops, and Mr. Lockhart. Was surprised and delighted to see him conducting the orchestra at the Queens Jubilee when I saw the video clip of Alfie Boe singing O Sole Mio/It's Now or Never. One of these days I'll get to see them live... :)
Thanks for that interview, Dollypop. I'm glad to see there are others on here who appreciate Keith Lockhart. He and the orchestra are always a joy to watch perform together. The Spring 2013 season looks great; I already bought tickets for the Matthew Morrison concert, but plan on buying tickets to more shows.
The Boston Pops rendition of Twelve Days of Christmas is always such a joy to watch, do you know if it is included in this holiday season, Dollypop? One year I went they did not perform it, and I had been looking forward to it.

I very much enjoyed reading that interview, it was short and sweet and all about Lockhart and the Pops. I also felt I learned a little something I never knew before. Good work.
"The Twelve Days of Christmas" wasn't performed this weekend at the Tilles Center. It needs a full choir for its best effect. I'm pretty sure it'll be done in the Symphony Hall concerts when the Tanglewood Festival Chorus is part of the program. It's really a pip, isn't it?
