Yeah, but there have been two or three times the number of good reviews for Exorcism of Emily Rose (which I liked) and Hostel 2, both of which received rotten ratings overall. Only two of the current reviews are Top Critics, which are really the only ones I read. The rest are mostly blogs of enthusiasts and genre fans.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade and I really hope the reviews stay positive because I want to see a good horror film this month. I just don't want to get my hopes up too soon. Plus, I'm super picky about horror films and have been let down too many times by raves to let them affect my enthusiasm. After Paranormal Activity and House of the Devil, I just felt liked I'd been punked.

I hated pretty much everything about House of the Devil (quite possibly the most boring and tedious horror flick I've ever seen) and I'm not really into torture porn, so after seeing Hostel and reading about Hostel 2, I didn't venture any further.

I only watched HOSTEL 2 because of Heather Matarazzo who I thought was an....interesting casting choice. I despise torture porn as well, but I had to see it for her and I didn't hate the movie nearly as much as I thought I would. And seeing Roger Bart get his junk cut off was fitting since he made me sit through YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and he owed me.
