The date rape troupe thought they were being edgy, ironic, provocative and hilarious (or at least all their theatre major friends told them they were). I think they believed just being offensive was enough to be funny. And if you're immature, lazy and ignorant, perhaps it is. I think they posted a couple of other stupid and offensive videos here before finally moving on. They might be a big hit on one of Colyer's other message boards, though.

I don't think it's right to simply call anyone we disagree with (even if it's 100 percent of the time) a troll.

If someone participates in general discussions on the boards and happens to espouse political views that I disagree with, that doesn't make them a troll in my mind. Though I would say there is an element of trollishness is posting assertions without backing them up and then vanishing.

Again, just my opinion.
