I am coming into NY to the Flea Market for the first time, and I am also attending the final performance of Porgy and Bess that afternoon. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me store whatever I buy at the Flea Market at their place (maybe around like 2:15 pm) and then I can come back and pick it up after the performance?

I know there are hotels in the area that let you store things but being as though these are Flea Market purchases I'm guessing they will be loose (i.e. not in bags, boxes, etc.), but if you know different please let me know. I am willing to pay for this; I just don't want to have to lug things into the theater.

Thank you in advance for reading this post.

Are you coming in for the just the day (not spending the night)? If so, why not bring a very small suitcase or duffle bag with you to put your belongings in. It couldn't be any more difficult to deal with, than having everything in your arms while you go from table to table. The Hotel Carter, (I know a dump),in Times Square, for $3 will store your bag. Theres generally so many people in the lobby, they won't even ask if your a guest. Give the guy a couple dollars tip and he won't care.

Or if you go that route, you could also just leave it at the theater's coat check.

Can't you also ask the tables to hold bigger purchases so you can pick them up later? I've never done it, so I'm not sure how it works.

^ I think they will. I agree with what everyone else has said. You also don't know for sure what you will end up with. I usually just bring a reusable shopping bag and a trash bag to put window cards in and that has been enough for me.
