Earlier this week, BroadwayWorld reported that movie director Kevin Smith wants to bring his 1994 flim 'Clerks' to the Broadway stage in 2014. If this plan comes to fruition it will join the ranks of Disney's THE LION KING- another successful 1994 film, which opened in back in 1997 and is still running at the Minskoff Theatre. This got us thinking... what other 1994 film would You like to see on stage?

Your polls are getting increasingly worse.

But the 1994 film ONLY YOU with Marisa Tomei & Robert Downey Jr would make a good musical b.

If I HAD to pick one, it would probably be Shawshank considering its already been done on the West End, but we've already had Interview...Vampire with Lestat and the rest of the choices are rather silly.

Bullets Over Broadway is coming.

Also, I think Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle would be incredible, although Jennifer Jason Leigh's performance was what made the film so incredible. She channeled Dorothy Parker.

I think it could be great too but I think the audience might be limited. How much of a "name" is Dorothy Parker? If anything I think it would be best as a Roundabout Limited Run with the possibility of an open-ended run.

I have no preference, mainly because I don't really remember any 1994 films, since I was like 3

I don't remember any films from the year I was born, either. I hope someday to live in a world where movies from the past will be made available to future generations!

CABIN BOY!!!!!!

But I did vote for Forest Gump. I think if done correctly this could be a really endearing musical. It'd probably have a mix of blues and alot of bluegrass music, something like the soundtrack to O Brother Where Art Thou.
