Its an outrage! It's a sell-out! Its internalized homophobia! Its...no, I just really don't care.
LOGO goes for "mainstream programming"

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

So sad. I'm going to miss all their great original shows, like...uh...well...the one with the...no, that was a different channel...ummmm...oh yeah, that one that was...no, wait, that was just a dream...well there was the...uhhhhh...Rick & Steve were funny, sometimes.

I don't get LOGO but I noticed it on the grid the other night: The programming consisted of alternating showings of Dreamgirls and Chicago. I audibly said "Hm."

Rick & Steve were funny the first five minutes of the first episode you ever see. Honestly, LOGO could have already changed their programming and I wouldn't have noticed. I gave up on them years ago.

Uh...I never EVER would have guessed that watching your channel.

If Reichen and Spray Tan What's-His-Face are reflections of my life, I'm picking up some Windex for my mirror on the way home from work today.

Thank god, now maybe they will start air programs that matter.

PEACE.

Isn't Bravo the gay channel anyway?

I got a kick out of RuPaul's Drag Race. I found it funny but I never seek it out. If I'm flipping channels and find it I'll watch.

I love Drag Race! It is the only show I can stomach on that network...of course I have to DVR it though. The commercials are beyond awful.

I'm sure they're still going to air DRAG RACE. it's the highest rated show on the channel and extremely popular.

Honestly...I don't wish anyone out of their jobs. I do wish however, that they'd ax the A-List series. I've watched, but I had to ask myself if I would welcome any of those boys into my living room...and I must concede NO! Our lives and our free time are worth so much more than all that cattiness!

There was a coming out series years ago, when the channel first started, that was quite moving. It was a docu style show and I remember one memorable young man who was from Jamaica and wanted to come out to his father. He was so scared because as a child he saw a gay man lynched in Jamaica while he hid in a tree.

Drag Race and Drag U are brilliant, imo. The affectionate dig at Tyra Banks is priceless.

I guess I wont miss much.

It seems all they do is play Buffy, censored episodes of Queer as Folk, and ****ty gay movies.

I always found it odd that they had to censor things like Queer as Folk. What's the point of having a gay themed channel that is so squeamish? Anyway I'm not really sure what Logo's programming was--we got the Canadian gay station for free for a while and it seemed to be similar--largely crap. (and bad soft core porn late at night...) Isn't there a second gay station in the US too or am I making that up> I did watch Rick and Steve a bit just because a friend of mine ws an animator on it and I felt like it was supporting him, but, umm yeah.

It does seem weird though--more and more cable stations seem to come with a basic focus and then after five years they just ditch it and air whatever. I know here in Canada it seems like they all show CSI reruns no matter what their supposed theme focus.
