RIP Davy Jones of The Monkees

Today is a sad day as Davy Jones from the 60's band the Monkees has died aged 66. AS well as being in the Monkees he was a child star and we in the West End and Broadway cast of the musical Oliver.

I did one of my first panto's with Davey Jones. He was far from popular with most of the company, he was still regarded as a bit of a big head thinking he was still a worldwide megastar from The Monkeees. Sadly, the panto was a good few years after The Monkeees fell apart.

The producers of the upcoming 'Monkey Business' musical will probably play on his untimely death.
