I actually like the idea of Harriet Harris better.

Thanks, Jordan! (I didn't wanna read the article)
I love the idea of Julie White, except that she's so insanely talented that I rather her do something that's more of a star vehicle, I wish she was more of a name than she is or that there were more roles available for her in the Broadway scene. Has she worked on Broadway since she won the Tony?

Not on Broadway, no. She told me last year she's been focusing a lot more on film because "Mama gotta eat, you know what I mean??"

Haha, it makes sense. Just saw her judging IRON CHEF last Sunday and was reminded of how much I love her and her personality.

The article also says,"He also said there'll be a cut song from South Pacific in the show. (Yes, a song was cut from South Pacific!)".

Are they talking about a new song, or "Loneliness of Evening"?

Wasn't there talk of the international tour with Lea Salonga going to Broadway? Can she be a contender given that Allegiance probably won't open till 2013?

Lets just go for the obvious age-innappropriate casting: Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffman as the stepsisters.

I'm thinking Kelli O'Hara or Kara Lindsay for Cinderella. I saw Kara play the part this summer and she was great and I think Kelli would be fantastic!

You mean it's not gonna be Harvey Fierstein?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Julie Andrews as the fairy godmother. Make it happen.
