I think they need a star to keep this going...what about Daniel Radcliffe? He should be free by then.
In all seriousness what about Denzel Washington? I think he would make a really good MLK and he certainly has the star power. I don't know if this would be practical/if he's involved with any projects right now but that would be my dream.

Unless I'm reading this incorrectly, it sounds like they only are looking to recast Jackson, not Bassett, and even then, only temporarily.
More interesting to me, though, is the possibility of a filming. That would be nice.
