Heard rumours today that Sweet Charity is expected to close early towards the end of September.
Its expected Chichester's Pygmalion revival will enter The Haymarket ahead of Trevor Nunns residency in 2011.

Its not really a musical house.
Acorn Antiques did well, but that was due to Julie Walters.

Would be a shame to see it close early.
I don't think though that it would close without a month or two notice because I am sure they would receive quite a big sales boost for the final month or so. Also I thought it was doing pretty good business? I know it was full when I went a month or so ago.

Posted: 8/18/10 at 2:53pmDamn. Was hoping to go early October when I've got an empty matinee slot (if you see what I mean). There doesn't seem to have been anything like the hype around this that there was about other Menier shows.

missed that its closing Sept 11th.
shame, but they were shooting for the stars having booking thru to Jan 11

I saw it on Saturday Afternoon, and the place was packed. On all levels.
Hope this is a good sign, this deserves to stay open longer than most other shows in the city.

From what I hear from the cast, they are being asked about Christmas Holiday time, so that is a good sign.
It is apparently selling well.

Can't help feeling the Haymarket was not the best theatre for it in the West End.
However this production deserves every success it gets.
