Personally, I love the entrance of "Aurura/Spiderwoman" in "Kiss of the Spiderwoman." When Molina conjures her from his memory and she is brought on stage by two men... great entrance regardless of who plays her...
The beginning of Millie...when the curtain goes up and you just see this small town girl with a suitcase in awe of the city. I LOVE the way we first meet Millie.

I like the 42nd Street entrance just seeing everyone's feet as the curtain rises. I also like Amneris' entrance in Aida because she is already onstage when she enters. One of my friends was totally surprised that she was onstage the whole time and she didn't know. Those are the two best entrances I can think of.
A ripple on the edge can be a tidal wave; no matter what the size.
Anything can be, depending how you see when you're looking at the world with brand new eyes.

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

Velma's entrance in the original production of Chicago, where Chita (and later Lenore Nemiez) just stood motionless and stared down the audience during the "All That Jazz" vamp. Then, when everyone was sufficiently intimidated, she sang the first chorus remaining still and just staring into the crowd.
John Cullum's entrance in "On the Twentieth Century". where he enters the moving train through the outside window by flinging himself against it and crawling hand over hand.
Millie's entrance in Thoroughly Modern Millie, when she turns around I got shivers so bad. Same happened for the opening of Witches of Eastwick, which started identically with a girl turning around and singing before the stage bursts into life.
Yes!! Maureen on a motorcycle is definately #1! Like, the audience suddenly gets blinded then u see Maureen stepping from the back of thes tage and you hear "Joanne which way to the stage?" and the rest of the cast pipes in, "SHOW!"- it's definately memorable.
I remember Eartha Kitt's entrance in Timbuktu! After a huge procession which seemed to go for days she arrives on stage standing on the shoulder (barefoot) of a semi clad muscleman and announces "I am here!". That certainly made an impression on me.
I would have to say either Harvey in Hairspray, or Angel's drag entrance in Rent.
"Wherever you go... I'll be right there. When you get your own private kick in the ass, just remember: it's a present from me to you."
