I love the Times. That's where I get all of my best propaganda. Come on Pal, you know me better than that.

Wait? Neil Patrick Harris is gay!? Next time you'll tell me that David Hyde Pierce isn't a p**nhound of grand proportions.

I had to come out of the woodwork to check on you guys, and as usual was delighted to peek behind the curtain. My life has become frightfully pedestrian. As I sit, I'm considering getting up from this desk and running away from everything. Join the circus, or the nat'l tour of Mamma Mia... I'm sure they need a sequin stitcher or a Keyboard 9 player.
Back on topic... I am dying to know how the closing number was born. Stitched together from pre-existing thoughts, or banged out in

I thought I smelled the old days. The musky, yet sticky sweet smell of BWW04. DAME, Namo, Pal, Pati B... it's almost intoxicating enough to make me forget the dead hooker in my trunk.

The woman with the laptop was there with Michael Mayer on August 22nd when I saw it. They were in a box, balcony right. They were clearly observing the new cast. The laptop would be for notes. I think it's even cooler to see something like that. I had just as much fun watching the show, and watching their reactions to it.
Quick Poll: Drinks at your seat at the theatre? Aug 27
2008, 08:32:39 PM
For those of you who have been to shows recently, please let me know if you were allowed/encouraged to bring drinks to your seats, and where?
Recently, I saw Young Frankenstein and Spring Awakening, and I know that they were both encouraging drinks to be taken to your seats. I seem to recall people drinking at their seats at August: Osage County and Boeing-Boeing, but I'm not totally sure.

People who use the stage as a personal coffee table or footrest are taking the rest of the audience out of the world of the play. I can't stand it. WTF?

Kathryn Mowat Murphy was on as Nickie... So it appears that the Nickie/Charity cover is still in place.
Amanda Watkins as 'Sweet Charity' Feb 18

The 'Sweet Charity' tour is heading out of Rochester, NY tonight. I saw it and have to say I really liked it.
Molly Ringwald was sick, and for the weekend here understudy Amanda Watkins jumped into the red dress. Rumor has it the number of refunds requested was in the single digits. Unlike the rest of the audience, I was hoping for an understudy. I had heard things about Ms. Ringwald's performance, and wanted my first taste of 'Sweet Charity' to be free of stunt casting.

Not for "no reason" SeanMartin. Because someone at MTI warned. You can bet that someone will be taking a look-see.
