i'm going to ny in a week and a half and i figured it's easier to just buy a completely signed window card than to go stage dooring since i'm on a tight schedule. :P anyone know what other shows are selling signed window cards and prices?

i like to get them for every show i see/saw -- good or bad -- so i'm particularly interested in:
- in the heights (saw from an above post they're selling)
- passing strange (saw from an above post they're selling)
- gypsy
- south pacific
- mamma mia
- lion king
- cry baby
- little mermaid
- young frankenstein

DrewT:
I'm pretty sure that shows don't collect if they're in previews, so Gypsy, South Pacific and Cry-Baby probably won't have anything. I saw Gypsy and they weren't collecting or selling, but they open this Thursday so that might change soon. South Pacific opens in early April, and Cry-Baby opens later that month. I doubt that those two will have anything. The other shows (Mamma Mia, Lion King, Little Mermaid, and Young Frankenstein) all collected for previous BC/EFA events, so I would assume they will for this one, too.

Signed posters at YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN are $100, LION KING posters are $40, MAMMA MIA posters I believe are $40 as well. I don't know the prices at LITTLE MERMAID. GYPSY is in previews so it normally would not be collecting, but the stage manager over there is a big supporter of the cause so they are thinking of possibly having signed posters as well. They may start doing something after they've opened.

You can try that. I know that at LION KING the other night they ran out of signed posters and got people's information so BC/EFA could ship them direct.

Interesting note--in addition to their normal offerings (poster, etc.) "Spring Awakening" is offering the last manuscript they have to sell, signed by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, for $1000. As of the 3/22 matinee it hadn't sold, but apparently the one before it did go for $800 so perhaps this will get picked up soon as well.

I'd like to know that, too, if anyone can be kind enough to answer !

they are already collecting and most is buckets. I am not sure but I will find out tomorrow as I am volunteering for BC/EFA, you might be able to use your credit cards at shows that are selling merch, just as a strict donation. Stay tuned.

You shouldn't have a problem buying something after the show has let out, if someone questions you just say you're there to make a donation to BC/EFA.

The Homecoming is selling signed windowcards ($40), Playbills, and some other things. They are accepting credit cards, checks, etc.

I saw Spamalot last week and there was no BC/EFA collection there. Did I miss it or don't they do it?

Has anyone been to Seafarer lately?

I was there 3/16 and didn't see any donation buckets or signed items for sale (sigh)

Have they started since then? (they'd best hurry -- they only have 4 days)

I went to Seafarer yesterday and there was nothing (brilliant play, wish it was around a bit longer as I have a friend who would love it but won't be here until after it closes).

The signed In the Heights windowcards were $100 last weekend (3/22 Saturday matinee.) That's all they were selling.

I saw The Little Mermaid 3/22 and they didn't do anything after the show. They just did the final bows and the curtain came down. No announcements or donation buckets. I was kind of suprised with that.

$100 for In The Heights, but $40 for The Homecoming and Passing Strange... wtf?

I saw Passing Strange last week and In the Heights this week- they were both collecting. And they said that they do take Credit Cards. So I think maybe you can go up to the merchandise desk and use your card there? Gypsy was not collecting last night (still in previews).

On a side note, after seeing three shows in two weeks - I am poor! (but richer from the experience obvi : )

Spamalot is not collecting.

I went to In the Heights on Saturday, and they weren't selling window cards.

Rent is as mentioned, but they bumped their windowcard prices to $50 and $75

Spring Awakening had windowcards for $100, letters for $50, and tatoos for $5.

Sunday isn't collecting and Passing Strange didn't sell anything when I attended last Thursday.

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

is there a reason why some shows collecting some days and then not on others? has anyone had any luck with little mermaid collecting?
