If you enjoy the Impractical Jokers, their movie was quite fun. I love them as they sorta remind me of some of my friends and they just seem like fun dudes. With AMC A-List, was well worth my time.

A friend saw The Photograph and seemed to find it boring as hell, so since I have more of a connection to JLD and Ferrell than I do Lakeith and Issa, who I also love, I think my next choice is going to be Downhill. Not super into horror so this month doesn't have a lot of options for me. Call Of The Wild looks okay, but the CGI Dog is distracting.

So, meh. Just waiting for Emma and Onward at this point. February I find tends to be the weakest movie going month for me. January is usually filled with a few silly comedies and left overs from 2020, but February I tend to just never find a ton of interesting stuff to watch in. Ah well, March should be a bit better hopefully. If not, luckily we have April. No Time To Die, The Lovebirds, Promising Young Woman, plenty of options that month.

Also, does anyone know if First Cow is getting a wide release? Id love to see that one.

I saw The Lodge this afternoon after work and what a movie. After almost constant garbage for two months, I’m happy to report that we finally have a winner. It’s not an easy movie, incredibly disturbing and sad but I never knew where it was going, it was intriguing and it was gorgeously filmed.

I would compare it to the likes of Hereditary, honestly. Not for everyone but if you like dark slow burn horror movies, it’s the movie for you.

I also loved The Lodge. It’s the best horror film since Midsommar IMO.

n2n - I also got some Hereditary vibes from it.

I can’t recommend it enough. It is certainly disturbing at times and can be difficult to watch, but such a well-crafted film.

A video preview of the upcoming "Blithe Spirit" with Dame Judi Dench was posted on the main board.  Now that's a movie I want to see!  I first was introduced to Judi Dench when she starred in "Cabaret" on the London stage in 1968.  She was already famous, and here she is more than half a century later still entertaining us.

I was at Walt Disney World last weekend and saw the extended preview for Pixar Onward. I liked it way more than I expected to so now I'm excited to see this. I read this morning that there is also a Maggie Simpson themed short before it.

My preferred local theater is a Regal Cinemas and they occasionally will run promos on Disney movies so if I see Call of the Wild, Pixar Onward and Mulan, I get 1,000 bonus Regal Points and 1,000 Disney Movie Insiders points. I believe there are some free concessions too. They ran the same deal last Summer and I took advantage.

Just got back from The Invisible Man. Really enjoyed it. Great performance by Moss. Well made, tense, thriller.
