I'm bumping this because I'm revisiting Sondheim right now and I've been thinking a lot about his music. A Little Night Music is still my favorite but Sweeney Todd is incredible. The score  has become more accessible to me in terms of enjoying it as just easy listening but the piece is a bit too disturbing for me to constantly listen to though. I'm still not all gaga over Follies the way some people are and I've never been a fan of Sunday's libretto nor of Mandy Patinkin but it has some gorgeous moments.

Since no one has specifically named it as a top score, I am throwing in Assassins, even as I prefer to Sweeney or Into The Woods just ever so slightly more. The start of the show with Hail to the Chief done in a carnival-esque style is an incredible opener. Very excited to see this show in May off-Broadway. The 90' cast recording is definitely in my top 3 most listened to musical albums.

Sweeney Todd and Passion are my favorites, beginning to end.

Pacific Overtures, Anyone Can Whistle and Assassins are the ones I've never seen in a live production. Gotta work on that.
