Romanico, I don't think JG2 was talking about the cartoon, but Biden's statement.

There are so many more real problems happening that I just can't get upset over a cartoon.

Yeah,I got that. I understand what she was saying about Biden's comment.

Yawper,I know plenty about prejudice.I don't think power or politics has ANYTHING to do with the cartoon.I and others see it as racist.

Diva, you are so right.I was super bitchy and pissy when I posted this.Other more important things out there,I know. Still, I HATE racism on display like this and how 'some people' seem to find humor in it.

Biden wasn't pictured in the cartoon. He wasn't the target.

What makes Biden's remark racist (or would be racist if anyone else said if, but for some reason Biden gets a pass), isn't that he says anything about being put back in chains, but that he affects a racist dialect when he says it. What the hell did it mean, anyway? He's such an idiot, that he didn't know the proper way to say it is , "Put ALL y'all back in chains."

Besides, the thing hasn't gone viral. This is the ONLY place I've seen it.

I haven't seen it, anywhere but there, either. It just comes off as a political cartoon about Biden's "racist" comment. I don't find the cartoon racist, at all. Nor particularly funny, either.

I agree. What a pathetic argument. Again, I have to ask. The only ones who were offended by Biden's remarks were Republicans.

Only place I know of is Facebook and some right wing blogs. Not sure how much they count but like I said, I doubt even the most conservative newspaper would pick up this offensive piece of garbage.

So,let me see if I understand. Because everyone knows the GOP has been so good to African Americans, they are outraged by Biden's 'so called' racist remarks.Yet no African American or the NAACP has asked for Biden to apologize. The Republicans faux outrage on this issue is just embarrassing.

Oh, and if you need more examples just let me know. The same people outraged by Biden's remarks find the above joke hilarious and were quiet when all the stories above occurred. To ignore all those examples and to focus on Biden's gaffe is desperate, pathetic, and JUST STUPID!

And to spend so much time worrying about a political cartoon could be called the same thing.

This election year is bad enough without people screaming and yelling about EVERY LITTLE F*CKING GAFFE.

I'm just as pissed off as the next person, but we really need to take a breath and walk away from these little things.

Because I really can't take any more of this hysterical posting.

Only the GOP was faux offended. Drawing undo attention to it because it is an election cycle. I think for the most part people were just scratching their heads over his turn of phrase.

"there are SO MANY examples of it"

Following the Civil War, 23 blacks -- 13 of them ex-slaves -- were elected to Congress, all as Republicans. The first black Democrat was not elected to Congress until 1935.

Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt incarcerated over 100,000 Japanese Americans.

"I am a former kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County and the adjoining counties of the state. The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia. It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state of the Union"
Robert Byrd, (D) respected and beloved Senator of the Democratic Party until his death in 2010

Here, Byrd says the "n' word on network TV:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FIBJt-c2o0

He said this while a sitting member of the US Senate.

Byrd led the filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and, according to the United States Senate's own website, filibustered the legislation to the bitter end appearing as one of the last opponents to the act before a coalition of civil rights proponents led by Republican Minority Leader Everett Dirksen invoked cloture so that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 could pass. At the time, Byrd was in the the midst of a 14 hour and 13 minute filibuster diatribe against the key civil rights measure.

Albert Gore Sr, Senator from TN and father of Al Gore, helped organize the filibuster.

In a sickening recognition of Byrd's appalling political career, the national Democrat party has done nothing but embrace the West Virginia senator with leadership roles and practically every honor imaginable. He was frequently referred to by fellow Democrats as the "Conscience of the Senate"!!

Jesse Jackson was the featured prime time speaker at the 2000 Democrat Convention. Jackson has a history of using anti-Semitic slurs, derogatorily calling New York City “Hymietown.”

And then there's .....

The Republican party, at that time, was the more liberal party and was anti-slavery. Lincoln, after all, was considered Republican.

Well, things changed.

For example, Kennedy and LBJ, both big supporters of the civil rights movement: both Democrats. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican by name but supported the protests of unions, which Republicans then and today would not like.

This also shows that the Democratic party is more progressive. Republicans reverted back to something they once stood against. As a meme I saw said, "D is for going forward. R is for going back." Updated On: 8/27/12 at 01:28 AM

The small portion of examples I gave from Rush to the the way the GOP has treated Obama should debunk any of the trolls crap. Facts are facts and spin is spin. The GOP does not want African Americans voting. Zero percent of African Americans plan on voting for Romney.

http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2012/08/ZeroLiterally-ZeroPercent-of-Black-Voters-Support-Mitt-Romney

Using outdated information where you have to go all the way back to the Civil war to make your case is pretty pathetic, but desperate tactics like this is what the overly defensive Republican party has resorted to.

Like I said, they don't like you removing the mask and throwing a mirror in their face. reminding them of their racism only angers them and makes them have to use the examples the idiot troll has used.

One party has moved forward and the other backwards.

"Using outdated information where you have to go all the way back to the Civil war to make your case is pretty pathetic"

Illustrating the Democrats have a LONG history of racism, going back to the Civil War, to FDR (a SAINTED Democrat), to modern day Democrats like Robert Byrd.
I do not believe that joe Biden and Hillary Clinton are racists, but the clips prove that they make those slips into racial stereotyping and remarks.
just keepin' it real, folks!
