Now that is amovie I thought I wasn't going to like, but loved it. I bought the soundtrack the next day. Again, majorly underappreciated, but everyone who like Musical Theatre need to see this movie. GREAT GREAT GREAT.

Great movie with a FANTASTIC cast.. choreographed by Jerry Mitchell
of the CAMP kids....
Sasha Allen was in BARE Tracee Beazer is now a Dynamite in Hairspray Steven Cutts is a Seaweed cover in the Toronto Hairspray Dequina Moore is in Little Shop Vince Rimoldi just wrapped the Jesus Christ Superstar (he is SUCH a sweetie and great fun to chat with.. I LOVE getting to talk with him now and again)
Sasha Allan has one of the best voices. I mean, she can bring tears to your eyes. I just lay back and listen to her sing with a big smile on my face. I also liked the "Ladies Who Lunch" segment. Because, 1.) I love that song and 2.) because that girl who was the one to complete the song was SPECTACULAR. "Turkey Lurkey Time" was my worst favorite part of the movie. Mainly because it was annoying.

Anna Kendricks is great. I love seeing her on the My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies dvd w/the Kit Kat Girls from Cabaret...and I'm so sad about Sasha not doing 'bare' in September! but then again, she had like NOTHING to do in that show...and a talent like hers should be on display like whoa. I've watched CAMP SO many times I've lost count.
Fav lines: Vlad: Have you ever experimented with heterosexuality? Michael: You mean...sleep with a straight guy?
And I went to school right by Stagedoor Manor...I kick myself now for not being a theatre person when I had the chance to go there!
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]
i concur about Vlad...but Daniel Letterle...not that best actor in the world...but...*whew*...He could strum my guitar any day of the week.

Hey, BG2 - The Vlad character bugs you? Hmmmm......
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
The way it was written... the cute boys shows up, he's straight, he flirts with all the girls and leads on the homo boys.. and of course he is completely straight.. it felt like a cop out
Oh, okay. 'cause I KNOW you think he's a lil' hottie

I'm leaving for Stagedoor for my third summer, so psyhced! Camp is a little soap operatic, but fun, specially since Ive been there. A little q: Anyone know what song Ellen is listening to after the catfight w/ Jill, on the rooftop on her Broadway Ballads Mix? I cna't figure it out.
Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on."
- from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Showed it to my dopey "Intermediate Drama" (the easy elective crowd) high school class....the 9th grade idiot girls only cared about seeing the guy playing Vlad....and got little else from the movie....One girl from my more motivated class actually spent a summer at Stage Door Manor....My favorite moment was the kid rejecting the sports coach...
