Hey guys,
I just had a great idea that I am about to implement. I want to create an online streaming service where one can watch Broadway and off Broadway shows. Most people who don't live in entertainment capitals don't have the chance to enjoy these beautiful shows. So I am going to put cameras in major theaters and stream all the videos online.
Would you guys pay for a service that allows you to watch the play in HD quality. You have to pay for each play you watch, but a lot cheaper than an actual live show.
Can you please tell me if you would use this service?
Any suggestion? How much would you be willing to pay?

And honestly, as much as I adore the idea (like, you have NO idea how happy that would make me), I wouldn't want my name associated with it. :/ You COULD petition the idea to an already established company (For example, Netflix) that they could add it to their services. But, I wish you luck! :)

You would not be granted permission to film. Why would a b'way house allow someone else to make money from their product?
Nothing replaces live theater -- especially a camera.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

They've actually filmed a couple of shows and can be found on netflix such as Memphis, Cats, Into the Woods, Company. And as said before I don't think you'll be able to do it due to copyrights, unless you're like buddy buddy with the people at the gershwin. And if you happen to be, well then hook me up with a job!
