Beginning with Variations on Desire in 2005 the Variations Project has provided a yearly showcase of new works for the stage based on audience-chosen themes. Playwrights of all experience levels from all over the region have participated in this uniquely diverse and participatory annual process, creating critically acclaimed and award winning productions.
Source material generated during the Variations Party held January 19th have been made available. They can be found at www.rapidlemon.com/myth. Rules and guidelines are at www.rapidlemon.com/variations-project. Submissions must be received by Friday, March 1. Plays should be emailed in .doc format to variationsproject@gmail.com.
During March there will be a series of readings of submitted plays. Authors will attend to hear and discuss their scripts. Following these readings a final group of plays will be chosen for the May production.
Performances will be May 10 - 25. Tickets $20 cash, $21 credit/debit.
