ON GOLDEN POND written by Ernest Thompson directed by Roy Hammond

May 1 - May 31, 2009

An intimate, touching, and witty classic American comedy/drama, this heartwarming play explores growing up, growing old and growing closer.

Ernest Thompson's 1979 play is an affectionate and honest portrait of an American family coping with advancing age, father-daughter estrangement, and "life" during one summer at a lakeside cabin in Maine.

The turbulent relationship between father and daughter, the generation gap between young and old, and the difficulties facing a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage, all combine to give this play a unique insight into the modern family.

A work of rare simplicity and beauty, On Golden Pond is a rich, funny and uplifting play.
