Maryland Ensemble Theatre's to Host 2015-16 Season Preview at Volt, 6/2

On June 2 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, Volt Restaurant, located at 228 N Market Street in the heart of Frederick's nationally renowned historic district, will host a preview of Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) 2015-2016 Mainstage season. MET, Frederick's largest producing non-profit theater company, will be previewing their 18th full season of plays that will run from September 2015 through June 2016 at their home in the lower level of the former FSK Hotel at 31 West Patrick Street. The event will take place outside in the picturesque courtyard of the 19th century brownstone mansion that houses the critically acclaimed restaurant co-owned by Hilda Staples, a MET Board Member, and Bryan Voltaggio, who will be familiar to many from his appearances on Top Chef and Top Chef Masters. Actors will perform in the sneak peek of upcoming shows, which include a cheeky British comedy, an original adaptation of a horror classic, and other contemporary crowd pleasers. There will be a cash bar and complimentary hors d'oeuvres at the event. In conjunction with the preview on June 2, MET is also selling tickets for a chance to win dinner for two at Volt's exclusive Table 21. The chef's table features a remarkable 21-course tasting menu. Tickets for a chance to win this delectable experience are $10 or three for $20 and can be purchased at marylandensemble.org or by calling 301-694-4744. The winner will be selected at the preview event on June 2 but you do not need to be present to win.
