Lili and Gerda's marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili's groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer.

Rachel Weisz and Yorgos Lanthimos take the red carpet at The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the film THE LOBSTER. The Lobster drops viewers into a dystopian near future, single people, according to the laws of The City, are taken to The Hotel, where they are obliged to find a romantic partner in forty-five days or are transformed into beasts and sent off into The Woods.

Broadway's Allegiance, a new musical inspired by Takei's true-life story, opens on November 8, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Previews begin October 6. It features a book by Marc Acito and music and lyrics by Jay Kuo. Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima (London's Ragtime, Off-Broadway's Bare, Carrie, Altar Boyz) directs. Tom Hiddleston, Elisabeth Moss and Luke Evans walked the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) for the film HIGH-RISE. High Rise is an upcoming move starring Hiddleston, Moss, Evans and Jeremy Irons. The new film is by cult British director Ben Wheatley (Kill List, A Field in England), an ambitious adaptation of the J.G. Ballard novel about a London apartment tower that becomes a battlefield in a literal class war.

The highly anticiapted Ellen Page and Julianne Moore film FREEHELD was recognized at The Toronto International Film Festival this year. The film focuses on New Jersey police lieutenant, Laurel Hester, and her registered domestic partner, Stacie Andree, both battle to secure Hester's pension benefits when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Nicholas Hoult, Kristen Stewart and Drake Doremus took the red carpet at The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for their new film EQUALS. The film deals with a futuristic love story set in a world where emotions have been eradicated.

MCC Theater has just announced the the New York premiere of John Pollono's Lost Girls. Golden Globe nominated star of stage and screen, Piper Perabo-who recently completed five seasons of the USA's popular drama series 'Covert Affairs' for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination, and was last seen onstage in the Broadway and MCC Theater productions of Neil LaBute's Reasons to be Pretty-stars alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach (HBO's 'Girls'), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal),Tasha Lawrence (Good People, The Whale), and newcomers Lizzy DeClement and Josh Green.

Ars Nova presents THE ARS NOVA REVOLUTION, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to HAMILTON (Broadway, 2015). This epic night of revelry benefiting Ars Nova's artist community, featuring performances by cast members of Hamilton and Freestyle Love Supreme, was held just last night at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). Rita Moreno returns to music with her first all Spanish Album- Una Vez Mas. The album was produced by Grammy winning producer Emilio Estefan and Nicholas Tovar. The album contains for the first time in Spanish, 'Somewhere' from West Side Story. Rita is the first Hispanic artist to win all four major American entertainment award including an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony. In December, Rita will receive the Kennedy Center Honor.

Actress and DANCING WITH THE STARS winner Rumer Willis made her Broadway debut as 'Roxie Hart' in Broadway's Chicago last night, September 21. As previously announced, Willis's foot injuries required further time to rehabilitate from multiple stress fractures. She will now play a 6-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC) through Sunday, November 1, 2015.

Just yesterday, Actors' Equity President Kate Shindle and Executive Director Mary McColl toasted the 2015-2016 Broadway Season with a celebration at Haven Rooftop at the Sanctuary Hotel (132 West 47 Street). BroadwayWorld was there for the special day and you can check out photos below!

Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming Broadway premiere of Fool for Love by Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin, will star Nina Arianda, Sam Rockwell,Tom Pelphrey and Gordon Joseph Weiss. The limited engagement of Fool for Love begins previews Tuesday, September 15 and opens Thursday, October 8 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).
