Provision Theater Company will open their 2009-10 season with a bigger and bolder version of their 2004 hit production of Harry Chapin?s Cotton Patch Gospel. The season will be the first produced in their brand new home, located at 1001 W. Roosevelt Road in Chicago. To celebrate the space, the theater company will host a gala reception, highlighted with a champagne toast, on Saturday, September 12; a date that also marks the official opening of the production which previews September 10 and runs through November 8. Lou Contey will direct the production.

Beck Center for the Arts presents Fiddler on the Roof September 19 ? October 18, 2009 at the Mackey Main Stage. Fiddler on the Roof's book is by Joseph Stein, music is by Jerry Bock, and lyrics is by Sheldon Harnick. The production has direction by Paul Gurgol and features George Roth* as Tevye.

The West Allis Players is set to present Three Murders and It's Only Monday by Pat Cook. It is directed by Mary Beth Topf and runs October 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Performances begin at 7:30 pm.

The Un-Common Theatre Company and Bay Colony Productions are pleased to announce the audition dates for 'Peter Pan', a fun and lively adaptation of the Broadway classic. This is the second collaboration for Bay Colony and Un-Common, following last year's blockbuster 'The Wizard of Oz'.

Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's production of Our Town will be held on Friday, October 2nd, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The time slots from 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. are reserved for AEA (Equity) members only, but AEA members may sign up for any time slot. Callbacks will be the morning of Saturday, October 3rd, 2009; the time will be announced. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Auditioners will be required to read selected sides from the script.

On Saturday, September 12th, 2009 Anthony Wilkinson along with ABC?s One Life to Live Scott Evans starred in the off-Broadway show My Big Gay Italian Wedding. The one night performance was a benefit for the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Approximately 1,300 ?guests? enjoyed the comedy and drama that ensued.

Theatre Works will air The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, starring Emily Bergl, Charles Busch, Neil Dickson, Jill Gascoine, James Marsters, Christopher Neame, Matthew Wolf and Sarah Zimmerman. Coal Creek Community Theater of Louisville, CO presents Voice of the Prairie, written by John Olive and directed by Linda Orr. The play, spanning three decades, from 1895, through the early days of radio in 1923, centers on the adventures of Davey Quinn and Frankie, the Blind Girl, as re-told some 30 years later by the now middle-aged David Quinn. Quinn becomes famous sending his stories into the 'Ethernet' through the infant industry of radio as 'The Voice of the Prairie.' Frankie hears Davey?s stories and reenters his life as the FCC threatens them all for broadcasting without a license.

Intiman Theatre and Town Hall Seattle?s Center for Civic Life will co-present a dramatic reading of selections from the Lincoln-Douglas Debates on Tuesday, September 22 from 7:30-9 pm as part of Intiman?s American Cycle series and its production of Robert E. Sherwood?s play Abe Lincoln in Illinois. Actors Erik Lochtefeld and R. Hamilton Wright will take a night off from rehearsal to read the words of Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas, the characters they will play in Intiman?s forthcoming production.
