On today's "LIVE with Kelly and Michael," the show kicked off "LIVE's" "Holidays in New York Week," which features a full slate of segments showcasing the best that the Big Apple has to offer during the holiday season. Hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan announced today that a highlight of the week will be co-host Michael Strahan making his Broadway debut in the Christmas-themed favorite "ELF."

The La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will open Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), following a preview period that begins Saturday, February 23, 2013. Check out a just-released television spot below!

An all new Christmas CD Recording titled A VERY BROADWAY CHRISTMAS will feature a host of Broadway Stars to support the Dr. Carol Channing-Harry Kullijian Foundation For The Arts in its mission to promote the arts in public education. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this CD will go directly to support schools in Union Beach, New Jersey who lost all of their musical instruments after Hurricane Sandy and have been forced to cancel their music classes and programs indefinitely.

Vineyard Theatre continues its series of one-night-only readings of notable plays from its acclaimed history in celebration of the company's 30th Anniversary with Nicky Silver's award winning 1993 hit PTERODACTYLS. An absurdist black comedy about the demise of the Duncan family, and, by extension, the species, PTERODACTYLS will feature Emmy Award-winner Penny Fuller (THE DINNER PARTY, APPLAUSE) as Duncan family matriarch, Grace; Tony-nominee Bobby Steggert (RAGTIME) as son, Todd; Virginia Kull (THE HEIRESS) as daughter, Emma; and Claybourne Elder (BONNIE & CLYDE) as Emma's fiance Tommy (the role of family patriarch, Arthur, is TBD). PTERODACTYLS will be performed on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 7 PM at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St., between Irving Place and Union Square East). SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in its 2nd smash year on Broadway, and has been seen by more than 1 million audience members from around the world. It features music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy® Award-winners Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), and a book co-written by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger(Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, "Big Love"). According to an Equity casting notice, Christopher Ashley will direct CHASING THE SONG at La Jolla Playhouse, running January 7- 27. The musical features a book & lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music & lyrics by David Bryan.

Tony nominee and Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, joined the cast of NEWSical The Musical- the ever-evolving musical of all the news that's fit to spoof. Last night, December 2, The Trevor Project presented its annual benefit event, "Trevor Live" presented by Audi of America and Wells Fargo and directed by celebrated director, producer and choreographer Adam Shankman. This high-profile evening of music, comedy and entertainment honoedr Audi of America with the Trevor 2020 Award and international superstar Katy Perry with the Trevor Hero Award. Today in 1960, Camelot opened at the Majestic Theatre, where it ran for 873 performances. Camelot is a musical by Alan Jay Lerner (book and lyrics) and Frederick Loewe (music). It is based on the King Arthur legend as adapted from the T. H. White tetralogy novel The Once and Future King. The original 1960 production, directed by Moss Hart and orchestrated by Robert Russell Bennett and Philip J. Lang, won four Tony Awards and spawned several revivals, foreign productions and a 1967 film version.

The Group Theatre Too (GTT), in association with Paul Michael's The Network, NYC, presented a star-studded benefit performance, Broadway at the Met Room, at New York's premier cabaret venue, The Metropolitan Room, December 2nd at 7pm. The performance is raising funds for GTT's Broadway Performance Project and will unveil the "Nicole Fosse Scholarship". Created by Kimberly Vaughn, The Broadway Performance Project is dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent. This mini-conservatory trains the student to achieve Broadway caliber performance which is further shaped by industry professionals in prep for a two-evening performance at a top NY cabaret venue. Early this Fall GTT board member, Nicole Fosse agreed to create a scholarship in her name giving more opportunities for performers to take part in the 2013 season of Broadway Performance Project.

A grown-up story about growing up! When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors. The Original London Cast Recording is set for a December 18 digital release.
