David Hyde Pierce, James Keach, Jane Seymour, Victor Garber, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jonathan Groff, Michael Tucker, Jill Eikenberry, John Glover, Zachary Quinto, and John Hickey were among the stars joining forces with members of New York City's philanthropic, business, health care and Alzheimer's communities at the annual "Forget-Me-Not" Gala, An Evening to End Alzheimer's hosted by the Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter at The Pierre. Garber, star of stage and screen, emceed the event. An ardent supporter of the Chapter, he lost both parents to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Check out photos from the event below!

Happy Birthday, John Gallagher, Jr.! Gallagher originated the role of Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening on Broadway after performing the role Off-Broadway and in workshops at Lincoln Center. Gallagher won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance. In 2010, Gallagher starred in American Idiot, a musical based on the Green Day album of the same name, playing Johnny aka 'Jesus of Suburbia'. He most recently starred in the Broadway production of The Royal Court Theatre's Jerusalem.

Happy Birthday, Danny Burstein! On Broadway, Burstein's appearances have included A Little Hotel on the Side (1992), Yakov in The Seagull (1992-93), in Saint Joan and Three Men on a Horse (both in 1993), Paul in Company (1995), 1st Officer William Murdoch in Titanic (1997-99), Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone (2006-07), Luther Billis in South Pacific (2008-10), and Taxi Driver in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (2010-11). He played the role of Buddy Plummer in the Kennedy Center production of Follies, which went on to play Broadway's Marquis Theatre and LA's Ahmanson Theatre.

Happy Birthday, Neil Patrick Harris! A veteran of the theater, Harris recently tackled the role of Bobby in the New York Philharmonic's production of Stephen Sondheim's "Company" at Lincoln Center. Harris made his Broadway debut in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Proof," and subsequently starred on the Great White Way as the Emcee in "Cabaret," and as The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning production of "Assassins." His additional theater credits include roles in "All My Sons," "Tick, Tick... Boom," "The Paris Letter," "Sweeney Todd," "Rent" and "Romeo and Juliet." Harris made his theatrical directorial debut with "I Am Grock" at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. Additionally, he directed a production of Jonathan Larson's "Rent" at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and more recently he helmed a production of "The Expert at the Card Table" at the Broad Stage Theater.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Judy Craymer's new musical, VIVA FOREVER, a modern fable of camaraderie, love and loyalty based on the songs of the Spice Girls, will open in the West End before the end of the year. The musical, to be directed by Paul Garrington, will reportedly open at the Piccadilly Theatre in Decmber 2012.

The Keegan Theatre presents a special engagement of Spring Awakening, which opened June 2, 2012 at the Church Street Theater in Washington, DC. Winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Spring Awakening is based on the play by Frank Wedekind, and features a book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik. SPARKLE will be released in theaters on August 17th by Sony Pictures, starring Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Carmen ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, Cee-Lo Green, and the now late Whitney Houston. Directed by Salim Akil and written by Mara Brock Akil, the movie might soon be heading for Broadway, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Stephanie Rothenberg leads the cast of Roman Holiday as Princess Anne-a radiant young woman in Rome on a widely publicized European tour who sneaks away from her royal duties to explore the city. Rothenberg recently made her Broadway debut stepping into the role of Rosemary in the Tony-nominated revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Edward Watts plays Joe Bradley-a handsome, crafty American newspaper reporter who charms the princess. Watts most recently appeared in the long-running production of The Fantasticks in New York City. Today in 2011, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark opened at the Foxwoods Theatre, where it is still running. Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is a rock musical with music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge and a book by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The musical is based on the Spider-Man comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, published by Marvel Comics, as well as the 2002 film about the character and the Greek myth of Arachne. lt tells the story of the origin of the character, his romance with Mary Jane and his battles with the evil Green Goblin.

The cast of the upcoming West End production LET IT BE will open the BBC Proms in the Park 2012, playing a 30-minute set of Beatles hits in Hyde Park on 8 September 2012.

The acclaimed Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Emily Man has cancelled its previously announced summer extension, and will now take its final Broadway bow on its original closing date- July 22. BroadwayWorld has learned that the show might be moving to London, aiming for a Fall 2012 opening.

The National Theatre will present the fourth season of National Theatre Live (NT Live), a successful initiative to broadcast live performances from the National's stages to cinemas worldwide. Since its first season, which began in June 2009 with the acclaimed production of Phedre starring Helen Mirren, over 750,000 people have now experienced the National's work on movie screens worldwide.

Two-time Tony Award nominee André De Shields, who created the title role in the hit Broadway musical THE WIZ, has just returned from Chittenango, New York where he was a Special Guest of Honor at the 34th Annual OZ-Stravaganza weekend! This lovely village just outside Syracuse, New York is the birthplace of L. Frank Baum who is best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which became the classic 1939 MGM film starring Judy Garland.

Second Stage Theatre will continue the 10th anniversary of its Uptown Series with the world premiere of Warrior Class, written by Kenneth Lin and directed by Evan Cabnet. Warrior Class stars Louis Ozawa Changchien (The Bourne Legacy), Katharine Powell (The Farnsworth Invention) and David Rasche (Speed the Plough). Previews begin on July 11th and opening night is Monday, July 23rd.

According to Indie Wire, Broadway favorite Cheyenne Jackson is currently in talks to star in Steven Soderbergh's upcoming 'Behind The Candelabra' film about the life of Liberace. Jackson would join previously announced Academy Award(R) winners Michael Douglas ('Wall Street,' 'Traffic,' 'Solitary Man') and Matt Damon ('Contagion,' 'Ocean's Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen,' 'Invictus'). Also in negotiationas are Rob Lowe and Boyd Holbrook.
