Renowned violinist Gil Shaham joins Music Director Jacques Lacombe and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) for "Shaham & Lacombe," a concert program the Orchestra will present in Newark, New Brunswick and Morristown April 27-29. Shaham and the NJSO will give the world premiere of Richard Danielpour's Kaddish for Violin and Orchestra; Shaham also performs Berg's Violin Concerto, "To the Memory of an Angel." The program also includes Prokofiev's Symphony No. 3, for which the composer adapted music from his opera The Fiery Angel, and Mozart's Masonic Funeral Music.

"Real Time" comedian and political commentator Bill Maher brings his trademark humor back to The Orleans Showroom May 5 and 6.

Los Angeles, the music capital of the world, kicks it up a notch thanks to the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) and its installation of "Play Me, I'm Yours," originated by British artist Luke Jerram. An unprecedented large-scale art installation, LACO's "Play Me, I'm Yours" features an astounding 30 vividly decorated pianos installed in high-traffic public neighborhoods across the Southland to bring music and creativity to the region for three weeks from April 12 to May 3, 2012.

The Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Project for New Plays on Science and Technology will tackle Post-Concussion Syndrome when it presents the world premiere of 27-year-old playwright Patrick Link's Headstrong. The play, directed by Ensemble Studio Theatre Artistic Director William Carden, begins previews April 18 for an opening April 30 at The Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street.

This April, JACQUES BREL RETURNS will continue shows at The Triad with performances on April 11th at 7pm and April 25th at 7pm. Both April shows will celebrate the 83rd birthday of the late Jacques Brel, which is on Sunday, April 8th.

Subscriptions go on sale today for the 2012-13 Opera Columbus season which sees the return of Toronto-based Opera Atelier and the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players. The two-show season includes Opera Atelier's revival of Mozart's wildly popular The Magic Flute and the back-by-popular-demand New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players in H.M.S. Pinafore. A new production of the world's longest-running musical, The Fantasticks, comes to the Boston area this spring as The Fiddlehead Theatre Company presents the captivating romantic comedy about a boy, a girl, two fathers, and a wall. Based on the tale Les Romanesques by Edmond Rostand, The Fantasticks features music by Harvey Schmidt and a book and lyrics by Tom Jones. The memorable score includes "Soon It's Gonna Rain," "They Were You" and the beloved hit, "Try to Remember." The Fantasticks runs from April 13 through 29 at The Fiddlehead Theatre in Dedham, MA.

The Wagon Wheel Theatre has long been a vital part of the Warsaw community. After 56 years as a for-profit company, the Wagon Wheel, as of January 1, 2012, is now a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. It is pursuing a campaign seeking operational funding.
