Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced that it is extending its latest show for two weeks. Originally scheduled to close on April 29, RED adds 12 performances due to popular demand and now runs through May 12.

Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks is a comedy about Lily Harrison (Phyllis Spear), who hires Michael Minetti (Larry Buzzeo) for private lessons in Tango, Swing, Modern, Foxtrot and Cha-Cha. Over the course of six weeks, this odd couple transforms their acrimony into a dance of intimacy as they learn to overcome their differences and create a poignant connection to each other.

Internationally-renowned tenor Piotr Beczala wowed critics and Metropolitan Opera audiences, alike, Monday evening (March 26) with his first assumption of the role of the hapless and hopelessly romantic Chevalier des Grieux in Massenet's Manon. Mr. Beczala shares the stage with soprano Anna Netrebko as the work's seductive, eponymous heroine. All concerts are free to the public and take place on the Dollar Bank Stage in Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh. The line-up of musicians represents just one facet of the multi-disciplinary Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, which celebrates its 53rd year in downtown Pittsburgh this summer. Additional daily music acts will be announced in the coming weeks, along with other Festival attractions.
