Chanhassen Dinner Theatres announced today its exclusive arrangement to produce the Midwest Premiere of XANADU on the Main Stage. XANADU was named "Outstanding New Musical" for the 2008 Broadway season by the Outer Critics Circle. Chanhassen's XANADU will open to one week of preview performances from June 1 - 7, with an official Opening Night on Friday, June 8.

Inspired by real life news stories about Waffle House restaurants, the play follows a Midtown diner owner, his staff, and a hilarious cast of customers as they battle to keep The Waffle Palace open against encroaching real estate developers. The Waffle Palace runs May 11 - June 24, 2012.
