Mercer County Community College Present CINDERELLA, 7/30-8/8

A whimsical take on a time-honored fairytale comes to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre when Stars in the Park presents the Prince Street Players' comic musical version of CINDERELLA. Dates and show times are Fridays, July 30 and August 6 at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, July 31 and August 7 at 7 p.m.; and Sundays, August 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on July 30.

PushPush Produces Original Stage-to-Screen Comedy Series, 'Slow Down Atlanta'

This fall, PushPush Theater will begin a new and unique project, 'Slow Down Atlanta,' an original episodic series about a group of out-of-work stooges who've started their own paranormal services company. PushPush will stage the first episodes of the series live before beginning to film the episodes for digital broadcasting and distribution. Utilizing some of Atlanta's top talent in film, theater and improv, the first episodes will be presented to live audiences in August, with the first online broadcast set for the end of 2010. This series will pave the way for a new international project aimed at filming in Berlin and Atlanta.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Co. Announces Lead Sponsor For OTHELLO, 7/28-9/15

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) is pleased to announce that the John W. Henry Family Foundation will be the lead sponsor for this summer's production of OTHELLO, starring Seth Gilliam as Othello and James Waterston as Iago. The production begins performances on the Boston Common on July 28 and runs through August 15. Established in 2004 the John W. Henry Family Foundation is dedicated to supporting community organizations like CSC whose work make Boston a world-class city brimming not only with excellent sports teams, but also with extraordinary arts organizations.

Suncoast Present The Whip Its and Loveshack Beginning 7/9

Beginning July 9, The Whip Its will perform every Friday and Loveshack will perform every Saturday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Suncoast Lounge at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino. Starting August 4 and throughout the remainder of the summer, both groups move poolside from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., The Whip Its on Friday and Loveshack on Saturday.

Auditions for 'Northglenn’s Got Talent' Take Place 8/13 & 14

Auditions for all ages and styles are being held August 13-14 for 'Northglenn's Got Talent.' The talent show is a FUNdraiser for the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF). Auditions and performance will be held at the D.L. Parsons Theatre inside the Northglenn Recreation Center at 11801 Community Center Drive in Northglenn. It is sponsored by NAHF and all proceeds benefit the Foundation.

MORECAMBE Announces Final Tour This Fall, 9/7-11/8

One of the biggest theatrical hits of the last year has announced its final tour this autumn. From humble beginnings MORECAMBE, went on to become the runaway success of the Edinburgh Fringe 2009 and then a hugely successful West End run where it scooped up the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and a further nomination for Best Actor in a Musical or Entertainment. This Spring the production toured the UK to sell-out houses and MORECAMBE now takes to the road for one final time this autumn beginning at the The New Theatre Cardiff on September 7th and taking its final bow at the Malvern Theatre on November 8th.

ABT Promotes Hee Seo to Soloist

The American Ballet Theatre announces that Hee Seo will be promoted to the rank of Soloist, effectively August 2010. Seo joined the ABT Studio Company (now ABT II) in 2004. She was named an apprentice with the main Company in May 2005 and promoted to the corps de ballet in March 2006.

Angela Brown Performs 'Opera from a Sistah's Point of View' at Indiana University, 7/30

Internationally known opera star Angela Brown, who honed her craft at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, is on a mission: the down-to-earth soprano with the voice of an angel seeks to bring opera to the masses.
