Soulpepper Theatre Company presents BILLY BISHOP GOES TO WAR in Montreal from February 13 - March 6, 2011. The production stars its creators, John Gray and Eric Peterson, and will be directed by Soulpepper founding member Ted Dykstra.

FIAF and Japan Society Co-present the NY Premiere of Ryoji Ikeda's Hyper Visual Live Sound Experience, datamatics [ver. 2.0], on Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th at 8PM. Queen City Theatre Company presents the regional premiere of ROPE by Patrick Hamilton from August 19th to September 4th. The play is recommended for audience members 18 and over. It will be held at the Duke Energy Theatre at Spirite Square.

From August 19-28, the Independent Drama Society begins its 2010-2011 season, a season of love and loathing, with PROOF, David Auburn's compelling theatrical examination of genius, family, and frailty.

The Anderson Rotary Club will hold a fundraiser on November 13 at the Electric City Playhouse. At the the 'Child's Play' Fundraiser, local celebrities, characters and entertainers will read or perform their favorite children's books and songs to an all adult audience. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres will be on hand to help loosen any reserved adult sensibilities that still remain. The evening is sure to allow the mischievous side to enjoy some of the most playful literature ever conceived without the judging eyes of children. Guaranteed to be entertaining and different, this fundraiser will help to support the club's youth literacy efforts and help promote awareness of the importance of childhood literacy in our community.

Debuting on the scene with a commemorative nod to idol Michael Jackson, Brooklyn based singer-songwriter ANGELO releases a mash-up of his track 'Time Bomb'. The track's August 27th release comes just in time to celebrate the memory of Michael Jackson on his birthday, August 29th. Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe joined Council Member Debi Rose broke ground Thursday, August 26th on the $1.7 million renovations to Mahoney Playground. The Playground is located at Beechwood Avenue, between Cleveland St. and Crescent Ave. on Staten Island.
