The Athens Theatre Present Organist Ron Carter, 5/16
The Athens Theatre and Susan Cole Productions present Theatre Organist, Ron Carter, in a musical pops and silent movie event on May 16th at 2 pm. The event will take place at the historic Athens Theatre (124 N. Florida Ave.) in DeLand. The feature silent movie is Buster Keaton's comedy "One Week."
Ron Carter, of Mariette, GA, has entertained Theatre Organ audiences and accompanied silent films throughout the Southeast at other historic movie palaces such as the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, the Tennesee Theatre in Knoxville, the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, the Imperial Theatre in Augusta, and the Strand Theatre in Marietta.
Tickets are $12, pre-sale; $15, the day-of; $10, for groups; and $7, for students. They can be purchased at the box office in-person, on the phone at (386)737-1600, or on-line at www.athenstheatre.org. Directions and any other information can be given at those locations as well.
