Two students were presented with JimmyTM Awards for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress on Monday, June 28 at Broadway's Marquis Theatre at the 2nd Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), presented by Pittsburgh CLO and Nederlander Alliances LLC. Alexandria Payne of the Tri-Cities High School in Atlanta won for her performance as ‘Ti Moune' in Once on This Island and Kyle Selig of Huntington Beach High School in Long Beach, CA won for his turn as ‘Don Lockwood' in Singin' in the Rain. Each student received $10,000 to further their education and they are eligible for four-year merit and need-based scholarship assistance to attend the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Department of Drama, Undergraduate at New Studio on Broadway: Music theatre and Acting, contingent upon acceptance into the program.

WaterTower Theatre presents THE FULL MONTY from July 22nd to August 15th. WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin directs The Full Monty, which is the final production of the Company's 2009-2010 season. This production is made possible, in part, by AT&T Real Yellow Pages.

Joe's Pub announces their line-up from July 28th to the 30th. Shows include Shells Cocktail Hour and Our Hit Parada and performances from Katie Herzig with Paul Dempsey, moira smiley & VOCO with The Jenkins Family, Marion Loguidice, LIGHTS, and Storm Large. The Knitting Factory (361 Metropolitan Ave., Brooklyn) presents 'The Summer of Riesling' on July 14th with door opening at 7 PM and the show starting at 8 PM. During the evening, seven different Rieslings will be poured. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door and include four glasses of wine per person; patrons must be 21 or older. B Street Theatre (2711 B Street) presents OLD LOVE from July 31st to September 12th, with opening night on August 1st. The play was written by Canadian playwright Norm Foster, is directed by Buck Busfield, and features Judy Jean Berns and David Silberman. Tickets are $15 during previews and between $18 and $30 for normal performances with a $5 student rush ticket.

Canyon Moon Theatre (Oak Creek Factory Outlets, Hwy 179, VOC) present Tom Tayback and the Daddy O's on Saturday, July 3rd at 7:30 PM for an evening of rock n' roll. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Marketpalce Café in the VOC and Basha's or KAZM in west Sedona.

The hit Off Broadway show, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, celebrated 300 performances on June 25th. Past and current cast members attended the celebration at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43 Street).

For the fifth year, the weeklong Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project returns to the Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University to celebrate America's acclaimed and emerging songwriters and singers. Presented by The Johnny Mercer Foundation and the American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University, this year's project will conclude with three special events, including the star-studded, one-night-only concert 'A Celebration of Stephen Schwartz' (Aug. 7), which will honor the Tony Award-nominated composer ('Wicked,' 'Pippen,' 'Godspell') for his mentorship of young songwriters in the tradition of the legendary Johnny Mercer.

National Centre for the Performing Arts presents 'NCPA Bandish - Festival of Legendary Composers' from July 9th to the 11th. Composers include Tansen, Amir Khusrau, Adarang-Sadarang, Rahim, Raskhan, and Muthuswami Dikshitar. The three-day festival will be held at the NCPA - Tata Theatre at NCPA Marg, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

Manhattan Theatre Source presents the world premiere of BILLY CARVER AND THE CHILDREN IN MIND from July 7th to the 24th. The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces that three musicals, BUDDY'S TAVERN, CLEAR, and EDEN, will be developed at its 2010 National Music Theater Conference under the leadership of artistic director Paulette Haupt. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announces the 11 musicals that have been invited by NYMF to be presented with the 12 previously announced Next Link Project productions.
