Tickets for the majority of Victoria Theatre Association's 2010-2011 season will go on sale on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10 AM. Patrons may purchase tickets online at www.ticketcenterstage.com beginning at 10 AM. At 12 Noon, patrons will be able to purchase tickets over the phone at 937-228-3630 or 866-228-3630, or in person at the Ticket Center Stage box office location in the Victoria Theatre, on the corner of First and Main Streets in downtown Dayton.

Jermyn Street Theatre bring back BLACK BREAD & CUCUMBER in a strictly limited season from October 5th to the 23rd after a nine year absence. The play celebrates Anton Chekhov's 150 birthday as Caroline Blakiston does this acclaimed one-woman show about how she made history as the first British actress to play Chekhov in Russia, in Russian.

Massachusetts releases its second annual MassJazz Travel Guide, a round-up of jazz festivals, concerts and musical events taking place across the Bay State from July through October 2010. The 32-page magazine is available free to visitors and residents at tourism kiosks, in hotels and nightclubs, and on college campuses.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces that three musicals, BUDDY'S TAVERN, CLEAR, and EDEN, will be developed at its 2010 National Music Theater Conference under the leadership of artistic director Paulette Haupt. The Conference runs from June 26 through July 16 on the O'Neill's campus in Waterford, Connecticut.

Idaho Falls Arts Council hosts Battle of the Bands 2010 as part of the Snake River Roaring Youth Jam on August 14th, from 3PM to 10PM at the Civitan's Plaza, on the corner of B and Shoup. As many as 15 bands will compete for their share of over $2000 in prizes. There is a $50 entry fee per band or a $100 business sponsorship. All band members must be 21 or younger. Olympia Entertainment season parking passes are on sale now for 2010 Detroit Lions season. Prices range from $125 to $280 and include parking for all 10 home games. Van Cortlandt Manor hosts River Day on Sunday, August 1st in Croton-on-Hudson. The festival-style River Day, which takes place from 12-6 and is sponsored by Fujifilm, is devoted to the history and ecology of the area's watershed. It features kayak rides, performances, and hands-on activities for all ages that teach children and adults about the area's fragile watershed.

The Songwriter's Beat presents the 6th Annual Songwriter's Beat Festival at the Cornelia Street Café (29 Cornelia Street), July 22nd to the 24th. Thursday's time is 8:30PM while Friday's and Saturday's at 9PM.

From August 19-28, the Independent Drama Society begins its 2010-2011 season, a season of love and loathing, with PROOF, David Auburn's compelling theatrical examination of genius, family, and frailty.

The Yokohama Theatre Group present the 2010 Cambridge University Shakespeare tour put on by the Pembroke Players. Previously, the Players presented THE TEMPEST last autumn. This time around they will present MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies, on September 30th and October 1st. Love is lost and won as two of literature's most famous lovers (Benedick and Beatrice) square off against each other.

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park announces that the Fred Rogers Family Series will not be scheduled on its 2010-2011 Season. For the 2010-2011 Season, the Society has developed a partnership with the quartet Brooklyn Rider, A Gift for Music, and Orange County Public Schools to create a unique music residency, bringing high-quality classical music to nearly 700 young music students this year. Brooklyn Rider is well known for its collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma on his Silk Road Project.

The Shadow Theatre Company presents 'Wacky Wednesday,' a night of comedy on July 21st at the Shadow Theatre (1458 Dayton St., Aurora). Doors open at 7:30 PM and show starts at 8:30 PM. Advance $10 tickets are available until Monday, July 19th at 5:30 PM. Tickets at the door are $15.

HollywoodChicago.com offers an all expenses paid flyaway package for the upcoming movie, 'Dinner For Schmucks.' The film, which stars Steve Carel and Paul Rudd, opens on July 30th.

The Storybook Theater Company Presents THE WIZARD OF OZ at the Athens Theatre (124 N. Florida Ave. in DeLand) from Friday, July 16th to Sunday, July 25th. Times are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30. Tickets are $14 and $7 for students with ID.

Island Stage Left continues their tour of the 'Shakespeare Under the Stars' series with HENRY V, opening in Wold (1062 Wold Rd) on Friday, July 16th. The production already performed in Orcas, Waldron, Shaw, and Lopez and after closing at Wold on July 25th, will continued to Roche from July 29th to August 22nd. Admission is free but donations are welcomed. Performances in Wold run Fridays through Sundays at 8:15 PM. It is suggested to dress warmly and bring a blanket.

Zinc Bar (82 W 3rd St, between Thompson and Sullivan) present the Leonardo Cioglia Group on Tuesday, July 20th. The sets are at 9:30 PM, 11:00 PM, and 12:30 AM. This is one of Cioglia's last performances in New York before heading to Brazil.
