The winner of four 2010 Tony awards including Best Musical, MEMPHIS celebrated its one year anniversary on Broadway Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Shubert Theatre and again on Sunday, October 17 at B.B. King.

On October 15, 2010 at 8:00 PM, The New York Pops launched its 28th season; a Carnegie Hall series celebrating the stylistic diversity of some of popular music's greatest icons. In this opening night program, Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke led the orchestra in 'The Music of ABBA', an electrifying concert featuring the acclaimed Finnish vocal ensemble Rajaton in performances of 'Dancing Queen,' 'Mamma Mia,' 'Take a Chance on Me', and other hits by the Swedish supergroup ABBA. A bona fide pop phenomenon in their native Finland, Rajaton's singing style and presentation has proven them a prodigious talent on the world stage.

Last night, October 14th, 2010, Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) presented its annual gala to raise awareness and support for Sing for Hope's programs that mobilize professional artists in volunteer service to benefit schools, hospitals and communities. The event also raised funds for the 2011 return of Sing for Hope Street Pianos, a public art installation that brought 60 upright pianos to the streets of New York this past summer, and embodies Sing for Hope's mission of making art available to all.

Broadway's Robert Cuccioli made his Feinstein's debut on October 11 at 8:30pm. His show, A Standard Love, featured the music of Sammy Cahn, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer, Richard Rodgers and others. Following six sold out shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre continued their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED for a seventh installment, Friday, October 1 at 7pm. Joining the cast were four special guests, all of whom originated roles in Sondheim musicals: Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd, A Little night Music), Annie Golden (Assassins), Victoria Mallory (A Little Night Music) and Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd).

Last night, September 23, the stars of Memphis were honored with a Wall of Fame painting at Tony di Napoli's restaurant to kick off the new Broadway season and celebrate the cast's one year anniversary on Broadway. The painting was created by Dan May. Valerie Smaldone produced and emceed the event, which was hosted by Tony di Napoli's Bruce Dimpflmaier.

Broadway's Bianca Marroquin (In the Heights, Chicago) spearheaded 'To Mexico From New York with Love,' a one-night-only benefit concert last night, September 1, at the Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center.
