On Tuesday, June 1, Tony's di Napoli Restaurant in Times Square honored Broadway's LEND ME A TENOR with the 'Bartha, LaPaglia, Shalhoub' portrait - the newest addition to their prestigious Broadway Wall of Fame, created by Dan May. Poster copies signed by the stars will be auctioned off at a future event to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre are presenting the New York premiere of the new musical THE BURNT PART BOYS. With a book by Mariana Elder, music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and direction and musical staging by four-time Helen Hayes Award winner Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J), the joint production opened on Tuesday, May 25 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, June 13 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theatre (416 West 42nd Street).

The Walnut Street Theatre concludes its landmark 201st season with its long-awaited new staging of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Filled with a powerful and heartwarming score including 'Tradition;' 'Matchmaker, Matchmaker;' 'If I Were A Rich Man' and 'Sunrise, Sunset;' FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a timeless classic. Helmed by Barrymore Award-Winning Director Bruce Lumpkin and featuring Walnut vets Mark Jacoby and Mary Martello, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF opened on May 26 and runs through July 18 on the WST Mainstage.

Last night, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone hosted the ceremony, which honored the best of Broadway and off in the 2009-2010 season. The 55th Annual Village Voice OBIE Awards were presented on Monday, May 17, 2010, at a ceremony held at Webster Hall in Manhattan. Co-hosted by Michael Cerveris and former OBIE winner Anika Noni Rose, the awards were presented by J. Yesterday, May 11th film producer Ted Kurdyla took over the off-Broadway theatre 45 Bleecker Street to present a reading of Vincent Gogliormella and Charles Messina's screenplay ‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE A BROOKLYN CHRISTMAS. The event was geared towards the many members of the industry that have expressed interest in the very buzzed about comedy. Both film and Broadway investors were in attendance. Last night, on Monday May 3, the New York Pops joined forces with stars of the stage to celebrate Frank Sinatra as part of the Pop's 27th Birthday Concert and Gala. Entitled The Best Is Yet To Come: Celebrating the Legacy of Frank Sinatra, the event took place at Carnegie Hall and was hosted by Liz Smith. On Saturday, May 1, the Straight for Equality Awards Gala honored Liza Minnelli at the New York Marriott Marquis. Liza Minnelli was presented with the 2010 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award. This honor recognizes Liza's lifelong role as a Straight Ally of the LGBT community. Additional honorees included NFL Super Bowl XLIV star, now of the Cleveland Browns Scott Fujita, and international food services corporation Sodexo. The event was hosted by comedienne Caroline Rhea, with the live auction hosted by actor and 'Amazing Race IV' winner Reichen Lehmkuhl. BroadwayWorld was on hand to celebrate.

Yesterday, on April 28, The Shubert Organization and the Career Transition For Dancers hosted a 'Between the Shows' get together and dinner for for Broadway dance community at Sardi's in Times Square. In attendance was Nick Adams, Kelly Bishop, Caitlin Carter, Mercedes Ellington, Priscilla Lopez, Vivian Nixon, Keith Roberts, John Selya, Judine Somerville and many more of the talented dancers that grace the Broadway stages each night. On Monday, April 26th, Bye Bye Birdie alum John Stamos (National Spokesperson for Project Cuddle® & Chairman of the Advisory Board) hosted a Project Cuddle® event to raise awareness for the 24-hour, toll-free crisis phone line to stop baby abandonment. Also on hand was Miss Teen USA Stormi Henley.

Tony Award-winning actor and LGBT advocate Alan Cumming hosted Live Out Loud's Ninth Annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala on Monday, April 26th. More than 500 community leaders attended the event, which will took place at the Chelsea Art Museum. The annual event culminated with the awarding of $2500 scholarships to four high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills. The recipients this year are Eric Multer, Brandyn Brunelle, Chelsea Schade, and John Dargan.

Point Foundation (Point), the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students of merit, last night honored the recipients of its Courage, Inspiration and Legend Awards. 30 Rock star and Tony Award winner (Nine) Jane Krakowski, received the Point Courage Award; Citi received the Point Inspiration Award; author, political strategist and civil rights activist David Mixner received the Point Legend Award. The awards were presented at Point's annual New York benefit, Point Honors, which was held on April 19, 2010 at 583 Park Avenue in New York City.

On Monday, April 12, 2010, The Actors Fund bestowed its highest honor, The Actors Fund Medal of Honor, on Annette Bening, Kevin McCollum and Jonathan Tisch, their special campaign co-chairs in recognition of their commitment and leadership.

Broadway's ROCK OF AGES celebrated its 1 year anniversary on Broadway last night, April 6, 2010. In honor of the rock hit musical, Tony di Napoli's restaurant presented the cast with a portrait of its star, Constantine Maroulis, to be displayed on its famed wall. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!

The 24th Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns benefit, held on Saturday March 27, honored famed director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell. Featured performers included actors from 'Football Strip' and Stimulus Package,' Broadway star Terri White, music artist Crystal Waters, pop singers Kristine W. and Kelly King, and drag queens Coco Peru and and Jesse Volt.
