The English Theatre of Hamburg is now casting for Terence Frisby's comedy Funny About Love, to be directed by Robert Rumpf.

The premiere event of the community theatre season - The Elly Awards - will be held on Sunday, September 25 at the Crest Theatre located at 1013 K Street in downtown Sacramento from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. Youth Awards will begin at 6pm and Adult Awards will begin at 8pm. This elegant event will honor the best and brightest in local and regional community theatre. Actors, designers and directors will announce the names of over 80 winners who will receive engraved plaques! Musical production numbers will be performed by Elly-nominated theatres including the now-defunct Civic Theatre West, Davis Musical Theatre Company, Runaway Stage Productions, and The Acting Company. This years' featured orchestra is from Rio Americano High School.

HOPE IN CHAOS, a new play written by 9/11 relief worker, Heather McCuen which enjoyed a run at the Mainline Theatre Montreal in 2010, has been playing in New York City as part of the Tenth Anniversary Memorial Commemorations of 9/11. It will close on September 10, 2011 at the Richmond Shepard Theatre.

Fox's hit television show GLEE will return Tuesday nights Sept. 20. Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and more gave some clues as to what to expect for the third season.

Barrymore will premiere at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival. Barrymore brings Christopher Plummer's Tony Award-winning tour-de-force stage performance to the screen in this film version of the Broadway hit adapted and directed by Erik Canuel.

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's Professional Theatre Company, is pleased to announce the 25th Anniversary MainStage Season. Between November 2011 and May 2012, MTC MainStage will present three fully-staged professional productions, each running for three weeks: 'Cabaret,' 'Almost, Maine' and 'I Left My Heart: A Salute to the Music of Tony Bennett.' Performances will take place in the one-of-a-kind Off-Broadway-style 50-seat studio, providing the audience with an intimate theatregoing experience. MTC MainStage is located at 246 Post Road East in Colonial Green (Lower Level) in Westport, CT.

Stage Left Studio will present four special performances of THE VEGAS PROJECT, on September 14, September 21, October 22 and October 23. THE VEGAS PROJECT is lived, survived, written and performed by THERESA GAMBACORTA and directed by Cheryl King.

For the creation of this musical, famous actors, singers, song-writers and composers worked closely together to honor world renowned peacemaker, humanitarian, poet, acclaimed artist, best-selling author and spiritual teacher, Master Ching Hai.

The National Tour of HAIR, which began its limited Broadway run at the St. James Theatre in July, will close on September 10.
