Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts MainStage Kids presents "Sleeping Beauty." The production will take place on Friday, August 19 at 7:30pm and Saturday, August 20 at 2pm at Theatre Artists Workshop, 5 Gregory Blvd in Norwalk, CT. MTC's own original adaptation captures the magic of the original tale while adding a few contemporary twists to keep the story fresh with today's audiences. "Sleeping Beauty" is a fully staged and costumed production performed by MTC School of Performing Arts students, ages seven and up. The production has music and lyrics by MTC co-founder Kevin Connors, with book and direction by Deborah Levy. The cast features Sophie Betar, Carlie Darefsky, Julia Gershowitz and Honor Heisler of Westport, Cory McCullough, Alexa Nichols and Samantha Nichols of Wilton, Scarlett Machson and Renee Scaramuzza of Weston, Dylan Ackerman of Norwalk and Alexandria Clark South Glastonbury.
