Denver's prodigal rockers, Kinetix will perform Saturday, May 14 at Gothic Theatre as part of a spring tour culminating with a very special Friday late night performance at the Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival on June 3.

Upon hearing that the venerable Philadelphia Orchestra has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after incurring a large deficit amid diminishing income, PETA sent a letter to Allison Vulgamore, president and CEO of the orchestra, with an offer that could help the orchestra and animals on factory farms at the same time: Display PETA's pro-vegan ad on the backs of musicians' music stands, and PETA will donate money to help save the orchestra. The ad, which features a photo of a cute pig and reads, 'A Vegan Diet Is Music to Animals' Ears. Go Vegan,' aims to encourage symphony attendees to think about who's on their plates-for the sake of animals as well as their own health.

Rob Urbinati, who helmed Foggy Bottom and The President and Her Mistress in our 2006/2007 season, is back to direct this funny, poignant, and ultimately inspiring piece of distinctly American theater.

The Music Theatre Company, Highland Park's equity theatre, begins its third season with Stephen Sondheim & George Furth's Merrily We Roll Along, directed and choreographed by Founding Artistic Director Jessica Redish. The production will run March 31-May 1, 2011 at The Music Theatre Company at the Karger Center, 1850 Green Bay Road in Highland Park.

Set for release June 21st on ModernArt, this is an album as restless as The Chain Gang of 1974's White Guts, an album which funneled three years of instrument-swapping, sample-splicing experience into a lean focused listen, but it melds the standout moments from that release into something wholly new and realized. In creating this new album, The Chain Gang of 1974's genre-jumping singer/multi-instrumentalist Kamtin Mohager moved from Denver to Los Angeles, severed the ties of the two-year relationship that fueled Wayward Fire, and raised the curtain on what's next, proving that this particular film has just begun.

Nearly one year into playing together, Robert Plant & The Band of Joy has found that rare sweet spot where composition and improvisation meld to create a firey and soulful brand of jubilant rock'n'roll. Florida Studio Theatre will close its 2010/11 season with Michael Hollinger's intelligent new play, Ghost-Writer. Ghost-Writer is apart of FST's 20th annual SARASOTA FESTIVAL OF NEW PLAYS. This production also marks the second Hollinger production at FST, after the critically-acclaimed production of Opus during the 2008/09 season. Ghost-Writer opens on the Keating Theatre stage on April 6, 2011 andwill run through May 29.

The All City Audition is an annual General Audition for AASD Members that is attended by local theatre directors, casting directors, talent agents, and production companies from all over San Diego. The actors participating are a collection of some of San Diego's best talent which auditors have the opportunity to see all in one sitting! This program has successfully linked AASD Members with theatres, agencies, film/television, and live event work for over 20 years.
