Paris-born DJ and producer Tchami has announced his 2020 North American tour 'Elevation'. Taking place across the US and Canada, the tour will span across 15 dates from February through April with additional dates still to be announced. Kaleb Lee has built a great relationship with superstar Kelly Clarkson and today their collaboration on “I Dream In Southern” is available. The tune, written by award winning songwriters Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Brandy Clark, is an ode to all things southern including “blue jeans, back porches, cotton fields, mason jars, fireflies” and countless other things.  Clarkson sent the song to Lee after he finished in the Top 6 on Team Kelly on Season 14 of The Voice. He joined the superstar at her Meaning of Life tour earlier this year in Duluth, GA where he performed the tune. Clarkson loved it so much she lent her vocals to the track.

Sticks N' Thorns is the new project from Leftover Salmon banjoist Andy Thorn and flatpicking guitarist Jon Stickley of the Jon Stickley Trio. Since their teenage years together in North Carolina, Andy and Jon have played together in numerous bands including the Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band (with Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass, and Travis Book of The Infamous Stringdusters). At the 2019 Telluride Bluegrass Festival summer Broke Mountain reunited amid rabid excitement (mostly their own). This was slightly more epic than the open mic nights the two had played together back in Durham.

The Town Hall today announced that GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter and visual artist Solange Knowles will be the first-ever recipient of the Lena Horne Prize for Artists Creating Social Impact, the first major entertainment award to be named after a woman of color, honoring excellence at the intersection of arts and activism. Beloved comedy series RENO 911! has been greenlit for a new, seventh season by Quibi, it was announced today by Quibi and producing partner Comedy Central Productions. The ensemble comedy was created by and stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, all of whom are attached to write and star in the new season. Peter Principato of Artists First will executive produce the series along with Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Jersey Television. The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (UCLA TFT) announces today that Brian Kite has been named interim dean beginning January 1, 2020. Kite currently serves as the special academic senior associate dean at the School and chair of the Department of Theater. He begins his term on January 1, 2020, after current Dean Teri Schwartz steps down on December 31, 2019.
