Each summer ACT One, the Academy of Christian Theatre, offers students agesd 13 and up the opportunity to as interns at one of our week-long camps. In exchange for working at a camp, they receive a $50 discount on Teen Camp.

Artistic Directors Steve Marmion and Max Roberts today announce the full cast for their joint new writing project UTOPIA, which is making its world premiere at Live Theatre on Thursday 31 May, before transferring to Soho Theatre on Wednesday 20 June, with opening night on Thursday 21 June. UTOPIA will star: Tobi Bakare (Greenland National Theatre; Crawling In The Dark Almeida Theatre and Gone Too Far, Royal Court Theatre); Laura Elphinstone (Top Girls, Chichester Festival Theatre/Trafalgar Studios; A Month in the Country, Chichester Festival Theatre and the film adaptation of The History Boys); Rufus Hound making his theatre debut, is most well-known for his regular team captainship on Argumental, Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind The Buzzcocks; Pamela Miles (Darker Shores, Hampstead Theatre; Pygmalion, Theatre Royal Bath/Old Vic London and Lone Star Mark Three, Salisbury Playhouse); also making her stage debut Sophia Myles who is most well-known for her leading roles in film and TV including Tristan and Isolde and Spooks and David Whitaker one of the founders of Live Theatre, Newcastle, his theatre credits include The Pitmen Painters (Live Theatre/National Theatre/Broadway and West End) plus extensive credits for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Donmar Warehouse.

A Wicked Gala, a 'Wickedly Magical Evening in Oz,' takes place on Saturday, May 19, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Sacramento Convention Center Ballroom, 1400 J Street in Sacramento, will be transformed for the evening into the "Oz Dust Ballroom," themed after the hit Broadway show Wicked, which begins performances at Community Center Theater on May 23.

Cutting Ball Theater has announced that it will add an additional four performances of its current hit production of TENDERLOIN, a World Premiere about the people and places in Cutting Ball Theater's neighborhood. From truck beds to basements to coffee shops and rooftops, William Shakespeare's words will electrify the city with the 3rd annual Shake 38 beginning on Friday, May 18, and culminating with the Bard's preview performance of "Othello" on Wednesday, May 23 at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. "Othello" is the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' 12th annual production of free theater in an outdoor setting at the park.

The Palace Theatre has announced it is a recipient of a pledge commitment for $10,000 per year over the next three years toward its Second Century Campaign designed to fund its capital campaign. The fund will be used for much needed theatre improvements and safety upgrades.

Ten schools across the nation have been selected for the second phase (Fall, 2012) of 'NBC's 'Smash': Make a Musical.' The philanthropic initiative, sponsored by NBC's hit musical drama series 'Smash' and administered by iTheatrics' Junior Theater Project, works with under-served schools across the country to stage their own productions and implement self-sustaining theater programs.

B. Someday Productions' will present the final show of its season, SUBURBAN MOTEL - two plays in repertory by Canadian playwright, George F Walker. The plays, FEATURING LORETTA and THE END OF CIVILIZATION will play the entire month of June at Walking Fish Theatre. This is the most ambitious and largest production the "scrappy" B. Someday theatre company has undertaken. Dates for the entire production run June 3-30, 2012.
