Cartwright Productions and Creature of London have announced the cast for their production of The Hairy Ape by Eugene O'Neill, which is scheduled to play 16th of May to 9th June, 2012 at the Southwark Playhouse. The opening night is the 18th of May. The show is directed by Kate Budgen and designed by Jean Chan, with lighting design by Richard Howell and sound design by Tom Gibbons.

The holiday, which originated in Chicago in 2009, became a worldwide sensation garnering extensive national and international media coverage and more than one million hits to TalkLikeShakespeare.org.

West End Eurovision will be held on Thursday 26th April at The Dominion Theatre in London's West End, with no fewer than ten West End show casts performing fully costumed and choreographed versions of Eurovision Song Contest numbers. Audience members will be treated to unique, fully staged Eurovision entries performed by the London West End casts of: Billy Elliot, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!, Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages, Shrek, Sweeney Todd, The 39 Steps, The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. In addition, there will be a one off extravaganza of a performance by international recording artist and television personality Javine Hylton as she reprises her 2005 UK entry 'Touch My Fire'.

Edward Hall's Hampstead Theatre production of Chariots of Fire will transfer to the Gielgud Theatre from 22 June 2012, following its run at the North London venue. Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett's new adaptation, inspired by Colin Welland's original screenplay, is now booking in the West End until 10 November 2012.

Art and class collide, as a group of Northern English miners unexpectedly ascend to the top of the art world in The Pitmen Painters at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre. Penned by playwright Lee Hall, author of the celebrated Billy Elliot, this critically acclaimed play from London and Broadway will receive its regional premiere in ACT's dynamic in-the-round Allen Theatre directed by ACT's Artistic Director Kurt Beattie this Friday, April 20. The official opening night is April 26, and the show is scheduled to run until May 20.
