On Monday, January 31, The Nightlife Awards were hosted by Bruce Vilanch. The evening has no acceptance speeches -- it's just pure entertainment provided by the winners and special guest stars. The show has been hailed by The New York Times as 'The equivalent of The Tony Awards for New York Nightlife.' As always, the vast majority of the winners, chosen by the press, agreed to come to Town Hall and perform.

Ryan Kelly started singing publically at age seven, taught himself to play the guitar at age thirteen and began writing his own music not long after. He joined a well known local band, and won a place as a finalist in the National BBC Television 'Country Cool' competition-where he placed second in the finals. This year, spectators will be taken on a magical journey through the eyes of 8-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon who wrote to the New York Sun in 1897 in a quest to prove the existence of Santa Claus.
