What On Stage is reporting that Sean Holmes will succeed David Farr as the Artistic Director of London't Lyric Hammersmith. Holmes will begin in the Spring of 2009. David Farr announced he was leaving the position this past May after three years at the Hammersmith. He will now be the Associate Director fo the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Philadelphia's Obie Award winning Pig Iron Theatre Company will add an additional performance to its sold out run of CHEKHOV LIZARDBRAIN at The Ohio Theater on Saturday, October 18 at 2pm. This surreal comedy loosely inspired by Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters and the 'Three Brain' theory of Paul D. MacLean is directed by Dan Rothenberg with text by Robert Quillen Camp and the ensemble.

Michael Riedel of the New York Post is reporting this morning that the New York Broadway revival of Waiting for Godot is still on-- and that star Bill Irwin will be joined by Nathan Lane on stage. Irwin will be playing Vladamir to Lane's Estragon.

A former student of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, the man born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947 left school and immediately began his path in the music industry. His first band, Bluesology, was formed in 1961. He would later take his stage name from the Bluesology saxophonist Elton Dean and their charismatic frontman, Long John Baldry.
