Ken Davenport and Robyn Goodman proudly announce that Altar Boyz, the acclaimed musical comedy at New World Stages which recently played its 1500th performance, will begin Wednesday evening performances on October 15th. The new schedule will be Monday, Wednesday through Friday at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm and Sunday at 3 pm and 7 pm.

In an effort to eliminate cell phone disruptions during performances, the Manitoba Theatre Centre is launching Good Vibrations, a campaign to encourage theatre patrons to turn off their cell phones in the theatre.

Michael Riedel of the New York Post is reporting this morning that the New York Broadway revival of Waiting for Godot is still on-- and that star Bill Irwin will be joined by Nathan Lane on stage. Irwin will be playing Vladamir to Lane's Estragon.

A former student of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, the man born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947 left school and immediately began his path in the music industry. His first band, Bluesology, was formed in 1961. He would later take his stage name from the Bluesology saxophonist Elton Dean and their charismatic frontman, Long John Baldry.

The Guthrie is proud to announce complete casting for its 34th production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol on the Wurtele Thrust Stage. Adapted by Barbara Field and again under the direction of Gary Gisselman, A Christmas Carol will feature actor Raye Birk, who returns to play Ebenezer Scrooge for the fourth consecutive year.

The eagerly anticipated production of Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson, and Katie Holmes, directed by Simon McBurney, will open on Thursday October 16th 2008 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). Performances began on September 18th, 2008.

The New York Musical Theater Festival concluded its fifth season on October 5th having presented 241 performances over the course of 21 days. A record-breaking 25,000 people, selling the festival to 87.5% of capacity, attended the festival. Over 75% of productions had sold-out performances, and 11 productions extended their runs to accommodate demand.
