Broadway, film, and television stars - Alec Baldwin '94 (30 Rock), Broadway legend Elaine Stritch (At Liberty), Filmmaker Joel Coen '78 (No Country for Old Men), Rainn Wilson '89 (The Office), Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU), Laura Benanti (Gypsy), and Raul Esparza '92 (Company) - will be on hand at Tisch on Stage, the annual gala benefiting NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Baldwin, along with philanthropist and patron of the arts Iris Cantor; inventor, philanthropist, and patron of Tisch's Kanbar Institute of Film and Television Maurice Kanbar; and 'architect of American regional theater' Zelda Fichandler will be honored at the gala on November 17th at the Frederick P. The Los Angeles premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan's By the Waters of Babylon brings two award-winning, long-time theater actors to the Geffen stage for the first time: Demián Bichir and Shannon Cochran. Jeffrey Finn Productions announces a special return holiday engagement of THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER for two weeks only at the Kennedy Center's newly-renovated Eisenhower Theater, Tuesday, December 23, 2008 through Sunday, January 4, 2009. The engagement marks the first return of the special concert since a sold out holiday run at the Kennedy Center Opera House in December 2004. In honor of the opening of the revitalized Father Duffy Square and the new TKTS booth, the Theatre Development Fund (TDF) and the Times Square Alliance (TSA) will host the Inaugural lighting of the red steps under which the TKTS booth sits, in celebration of the Broadway community. This will mark the first time the newly designed glowing red staircase will be lit for the public.

Youngblood, Ensemble Studio Theatre's collective of emerging playwrights under 30 (RJ Tolan/Graeme Gillis, Artistic Directors), will celebrate its fifteenth season this year with Asking For Trouble, the biggest play festival in their history.
