There was a family reunion this weekend at the Circle in the Square Theatre! Stage and screen favorite Vanessa Williams attended Chicken and Biscuits on Broadway and stopped backstage to visit two of her past costars- Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) and Norm Lewis (Sondheim by Sondheim, Show Boat). Just last night, the McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street, NYC), home of Sleep No More, welcomed back The Woman in Black - a ghost play in a pub. Tickets are on sale only through ­­­January 30, 2022.

The world premiere of Fairycakes just celebrated opening night at the Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street). Fairycakes is set to play a limited engagement through January 2, 2022.

Broadway audience are back at the Ambassador Theatre, where Chicago has officially resumed performances last month. Just last week, the show welcomed a very special guest, the 57th Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul.

The Phantom of the Opera is officially back and Broadway is Broadway again! As a part of the celebration, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Cameron Mackintosh took the stage for a special speech, and afterwards Webber took to the streets for a special DJ set in front of The Majestic. Just last week Thoughts of a Colored Man officially opened on Broadway at the John Golden Theatre- an opening that what celebrated by the full company, including one of the show's producers, Kandi Buruss. Earlier this week, the Real Housewives of Atlanta veteran was joined by her costar, Cynthia Bailey, who came to the show in support of her friend.

Last night marked a shift change at Joe's Diner! Waitress just welcomed four new Broadway cast members at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, including Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Jennifer Nettles as Jenna, Nik Dodani as Ogie, and former Waitress cast members Erich Bergen and Ben Thomspon as Dr. Pomatter and Earl respectively.

Three-time Emmy Award-winner Uzo Aduba is on her way back to Broadway, this time courtesy of Second Stage Theatre. The star of In Treatment and Orange is the New Black will join two-time Emmy Award-winner Ron Cephas Jones (This is Us, Truth Be Told, Between Riverside and Crazy), Reza Salazar (Sweat), Edmund Donovan (Greater Clements) and Kara Young (Halfway Bitches Go Straight to Heaven) in Clyde's.

The acclaimed production, which received a Special Tony Award at the Tony Awards ceremony on September 26, features David Byrne with returning band members Jacquelene Acevedo, Gustavo Di Dalva, Daniel Freedman, Chris Giarmo, Tim Keiper, Tendayi Kuumba, Karl Mansfield, Mauro Refosco, Stéphane San Juan, Angie Swan and Bobby Wooten III.

Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of the Temptations officially returned to Broadway at the Imperial Theatre on Saturday, October 16.
